I can't believe it has been February since my last post!! I miss Blogging... I just never seem to find the time to do it anymore. We all have been doing really well :) here's a little update on the Tabor family:
Weston ~ Still doing the Army thing, although not too much longer left before he is out, hooray!! While the Army has been a huge blessing in our lives, and I am SO grateful for all the added benefits that the military has to offer, I am definitely ready to see what else God has in store for us! Weston is still ushering at our church, Destiny, and he is still involved in Joshua's Project, he absolutely loves it! This past Sunday they opened registration for Destiny Bible Institute, which Weston is thinking and praying about doing.
Amariah ~ Growing up WAY too fast!! Ama is heading into the 2nd grade this year... I still can't believe it!! Ama is playing Summer soccer, and she is loving it so far, I don't think there's a sport out there that she wouldn't be good at, she's definitely my athletic child! I received one of the greatest compliments about Ama at church this past Sunday. As I was picking her up from class one of her teachers lit up and told me how much Ama blesses her, how Ama knows how to worship God and how much she gets into it, and that Ama has such an anointing on her when she praises God! I got all teary eyed, I was so proud :)
Abigail ~ Abi is my little firecracker :) She's still clingy as ever, unless we are outside, so we are outside alot! Abi is excited about starting Pre-K this year...although not too excited about the shots she has to get. Abi also is in Summer soccer, although after the first 5 minutes it's a struggle to get her to keep playing, maybe sports aren't Abi's thing ;) Abi does love to sing and dance ALL the time, and she brings so much joy into our home... she keeps us giggling and laughing all the time!
Ashley ~ I'm doing better :) Weston and I heard very clearly from God that we were to stay here in Texas and be a part of Destiny World Outreach Center. At first, it was exciting, then my parents visited us in January, and after they left I got really homesick, and I doubted what we heard from God. I started second guessing, and returned to my own desires of moving back to Georgia to be with family after Weston got out of the Army. Three separate times God has confirmed to me in such a clear way that we are supposed to stay here...yet I still struggled with it.The excitement of knowing God's plan for us, and knowing that He has something in store for us here was disappearing, I couldn't focus on it anymore, and all I did focus on was family and friends. Yesterday at church Weston and I received our 4th confirmation that God wants us here. I couldn't help but cry, but not because I was sad, but because I felt God's love so strongly. Have you ever been at a fork in the road and prayed and prayed and begged God to lead you in the right direction? I have MANY times, but I have never heard God's voice so clearly and received so much confirmation, I feel so loved by Him. I feel for the first time in mine and Weston's marriage that we are exactly in the right place, at the right time. I have absolutely no idea what will happen next April when we are out of the Army, and starting a brand new chapter in our lives, but I do know that God is in control, He has plans for us, and I will trust Him.
I plan to keep up with my blog... so stay tuned!!
Ashley
